Locusts In My PHP

I turned off anonymous comments temporarily. I've been getting about a hundred emails a day asking me to moderate posts about Giant Viagra-Hard Penis Poker on Vicodin.

Over the past few days this site has been inundated with spam for online poker sites. I installed a spam filter module a long time ago, but it's been almost entirely useless. But, I discovered the best part about this particular spam module, is that it has a nasty little bug that will delete every single comment ever entered in to the system if you accidentally hit the "refresh" button...

And, unfortunately, I never got around to setting up automatic backups of the database, so my last backup was on June 9th. It could have been worse, I suppose. In any case, I'll get the old comments back up sometime this weekend, and also set up an automatic nightly backup. Why do I always have to learn the hard way?

I posted up the art appreciation thread and made it look all pretty with pics for the artists I even had them sized down to 150 so they would not fubar the frontpage and look all nice and uniform..... They look fine in the forum view but they come out full size on the frontpage.

Am I doing something stupid? Seriously, it will not be the first time and I will not cry. I edited my thread and took out the most glaringly huge one (which of course was the only one that contained nudity)

Alright, there are still a few bugs to work out on this forum and on my front page component. I wrote that bit from scratch which is why it's still a little bit lame with the bbcode parsing. In any case, in the interest of keeping Colin's vitriol from being overrun with discussion of the bug that it highlights, I'm creating a new category to post any bugs that you find.
