This story made me crazy. Reading it was bad enough, but the video is totally unbearable. I'd recommend you NOT watch it. The article explains it pretty well. Yazidi girl falls for Sunni boy... Its the beginning of the ethnic tensions we've all been anticipating for so long in Iraq. Joy joy. Each one of these episodes (and they'll grow more frequent) will illustrate the various torments W can expect when he finally passes beyond the veil. Anyway, the question I pose to all of you is... While we all seem to agree that GOING to Iraq was the worst decision made by a president.. Is STAYING in Iraq the wrong thing to do? We've made one hell of a mess there. Yes, I agree that W made the mess, but who's gonna clean it up? America elected a fool, don't we need to clean up the fool's mess? If someone besides W was in office and we were there, would we be so eager to leave, with a whole world of shit about to explode on a population that America dicked over?

Really, I'm not trying to be provocative here. Try a googleearth flyover yourself. Start in some smallish logging town like Forks, WA, Bonners Ferry, ID or maybe even Eugene, OR (not a smallish logging town I know but useful) and just head straight into the mountains from there.
The devastation is a huge visceral hit in the face. Then read Jared Diamond's COLLAPSE.
