Hey Folks. Watch the season finale. I take my first stab at reporting by mocking a well-intentioned environmentalist. Also, a non-hysterical look at Bird Flu and a music video about obscure number theory conjectures.
Nova scienceNOW
1/10/06
8PM

I'm going to be watching that music video closely...
... and if you so much as mention the twin primes conjecture I'm going to demand a producer credit.
Logistical Q: If DVR knows to record all episodes of Nova, will it pick this up? Or is scienceNOW listed as a different show?
Also, can we watch this at your house and play silent hill after?

Punk.
You're a punk, Rosenfeld.
"If the cells come from a chicken, it should taste like chicken."
"Doesn't everything?"
I almost choked on my dinner.

Futureworld?
Dr. Rosenrosen, I haven't had a chance to watch it yet on account of I didn't go home yet, but I think I remote-scheduled my TiVo to record it last night. God bless futureworld. I'm a-lookin' forward to seeing your journalistorial debut. Are you sticking with ScienceNOW for next season, too?

Thanks for watching, guys
Thanks, Terp. I was hoping to work in the line, "I like my chicken fried HARD and shit," but we had to cut it for time. As for staying at NSN, I think I'm going to stick around for another season because .... I think I may be overcompensating ... I'm coping for my worst grades in Grinnell College: Chemistry is Everywhere and The Universe is Everywhere.

Great Job Win!
High quality all around. I was particularly inspired by the final shot of your own damn grille tearing into a juicy burg. I might have cried a little bit, it looked so delicious.

so proud of my nerd reporter
I've been talking about this artificial meat to anyone that would listen for a while now and about how they exercise in by running current through a sheet of it or changing the temperature of pellets... I was terribly saddened when your segment effectively communicated all the pertinent points... including the one that its so incredibly effective. Screw your cheeseburger. I WANT MEAT-PELLET SPACE-SOUP!

Good stuff, mang
I watched it this AM. Nice work, Win. Definitely piqued my interest about the idea of artificiburgs. And on a side note -- Rudy Jaenisch (the researcher from the stem cell report) is friends with my boss, and we may end up collaborating with him, if I can isolate the stem cells in my tumors.

Unfortunate, indeed
Well, the tumors in my mice. But I did engineer the mice, so I tend to think of them (the mice and the tumors) as "mine."
Here's what a normal adult mouse cerebellum looks like:
