New Years on the Ocean
New Years on the Ocean

Anne and I have been mulling over New Years options for this year. We were thinking we could get a beach house (sleeps 20) on Holden Beach, NC. As some of you know, this is the same beach that Anne's mom has a house (unfortunately, it's already rented).
As always, all are welcome. We can rent a house for approximately $200/night. Which is dirt cheap with a group. We figured a 3-4 night rental. Anne and I are willing to make the house arrangements. We're also planning on chipping in a bit more loot since we won't have travel expenses.
Here's the catch, we need to get a rough idea of who might actually come down in the next two weeks. So talk amongst yourselves and make it happen.
Travel Options
-Fly to Raleigh, NC (Holden is 3-4 drive, and we could easily pick some people up on the way down)
-Fly to Wilmington, NC (1 hour drive)
-Fly to Myrtle Beach (1-2 hour drive)
Here's a tentative List of Attendees (with Vegas Odds):
Anne (100%)
Geoffrey (100%)
Jason (90%)
Sonya (90%)
Matt R. (90%)
Kevin M. & Spouse (70%)
Ade (60%)
Kate (60%)
The Drake & Michael (45%)
Mark & Stephanie (35%)

Chris and Hannah (65.875)%
Graver and Hannah (65.875)%

I'm in barring any issues with the Chicago City Colleges.

A poor bet
I think 60% is too optimistic for Kate and I. Between two weeks in Ireland/Spain (11/12-11/28) and a trip back to AZ for Christmas, making another pricy trip would be pushing the budget pretty hard, to say nothing of the time off, etc.
BTW, Kevin's married to a nameless spouse?

My probability
Jake & Constance, Patricia, Marianne, Bethel, Talulah, and Naomi (I'm Mormon now): 50%

% chance of New Yearsing it in Chicago?
Considering the relative poorness of some of us, would it be both shocking and too late to suggest making this year the Chicago New Years year? I mean, I'm down. I am. But I'm also poor and stuff. I'd rather see Anne and Goff than kick it in Chicago without them, but some of my other favorite people (Kate&Ade, Shippy) are looking like a no.
Mmmm? Mmmmmmmmm?!
Another option would be to have a soiree in Champaign. And just as fun as Chicago. I swear.

Sorry, I've been neglecting the J dot C lately and am just now seeing this. Will look into possibility.

Actual Dates
I know most of you are opting to not come, but we have enough people to go ahead with it. We've reserved the house from 30 Dec - 2 Jan for the $430 (total).
If you change your mind, let me know.
